Franklin School of Innovation
Principal's Message
Welcome to an exciting year at Franklin School of Innovation! It is my pleasure to serve our community as the Principal of this wonderful school. I am truly passionate about serving our students in this Belmont Community. The staff and I believe that we must create a school culture that fosters high expectations in both behavior and academics. We are anxious to get this year started! It is a sincere privilege for us to share in the growth of your scholar, and we are committed to providing a positive educational experience every single day!
The staff will be implementing several new programs that we can’t wait to share with you! We welcome back staff members who have been integral to the fabric of this campus, and we welcome new members who are sure to play an important role in the success of our students.
This school year you will notice many positive changes. First of all, we have a brand new state of the art building that we opened in August 2023! It is so beautiful and it lends itself to our school vision and mission of being an innovation school. It is an exciting time to be a Franklin Bobcat.
We are so excited to report that Franklin School of Innovation is now considered a Performance school. With the hard work and dedication of the students, teachers, and staff, we were able to make great growth. We were even recognized by the Governor of the State of Colorado and we received the "Bright Spot Award" where 11 schools in the state of Colorado were recognized for raising their performance by 2 levels. We are so excited that we worked so hard and were given this prestigious award!
Franklin is an AVID school where we focus on organization and college and career readiness. We have also recently become a Project Lead the Way School! We believe that students need access to real-world, applied learning experiences that empower them to gain the skills they need to thrive in college, career, and beyond. Through Project Lead the Way, students develop in-demand, transportable skills such as problem solving, critical and creative thinking, collaboration, and communication that they will use both in school and for the rest of their lives, on any career path they take. Students are empowered to explore career paths, engage in problem solving and process thinking, develop technical knowledge and skills, and build communication skills.
At Franklin School of Innovation, we know we cannot do our important work of educating your scholar without you. It is our job to understand that students need and want to know what is expected of them. We know that consistency and clear, high expectations are major factors in providing a positive learning environment. We expect students to be at school promptly, attend regularly, follow school rules, and perform academically at their potential. As parents/guardians, you expect us to provide a quality instructional program that will give students the tools to be responsible, productive adults in society. We can do this with your cooperation and support. Thank you for choosing to be a part of our Franklin Family and our Bobcat team is excited to provide your scholar with a high-quality education that assures each student the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to lead a life of purpose and impact.
